The New York City Metro Stars soccer club. Brooklyn N.Y. -based competitive soccer team will commence their fourth season in 2013-2014. The team currently has 32 registered members comprising all ages and fields. The goal of the team is to promote the sport of Soccer and build the level of sportsmanship within the Soccer community. Our season spans a period of nine months beginning in November and ending in July. During the season, team members practice three times a week and game on Saturday or Sunday and participate in various tournaments as The Cosmopolitan Soccer League and the United Soccer League 4th division and competitions all over the country. Our team represents sponsors in various competitions from Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan over the course of the past five years. During its first season in 1998, Metro Stars participated in a tournament ranging Four Titles of Champions, Two subs Champion. One Third place and a fourth place and ended with a record to be proud of. In 1999, the team participated in the Metro kid’s soccer league and took first place. During the 2000 season, MetroStars was featured Two times in various Local Newspapers as Gool Usa , El diario. In addition to the many scenarios and tournaments, the team has also organized Soccer competitions and events in and around the Queens area. Thanks to sponsorship assistance and local support, Metro Stars hosted some of the best events in the Queens area with an average attendance of over 100 players per event. 1999 brought Metro Stars its biggest and best year to date. The team made a name for itself all over the city with awards like the Sportsmanship Award from the CDHANY, MKISL First place for the season and countless MVT awards. In June, The N.Y. Metro Stars Soccer Club was the only team invited to assist in Special Tournament in Atlanta Georgia. To successfully achieve our future goals, The N.Y. City Metro Stars Soccer Club is looking for financial support from individuals and businesses to cover costs for equipment travel to competitions, purchasing new uniforms, and organizing future Soccer events and tournaments. We receive very little financial support which leaves us to pay for the majority of the expenses through fundraising and personal contributions. For 2012-2013, the team has a record number of events and tournaments scheduled. These events will help build Metro Stars reputation throughout the country. Due to the New events and well as the upcoming season, we are hoping to develop long-term relationships with companies interested in supporting Metro Stars soccer team. In return for their support, the team would recognize our sponsors on our webpage in Facebook and My space as well as display banners at all events and competitions. We are willing to promote your company by placing logos on equipment, uniforms, event flyers, mentions in magazine articles, emails, and the distribution of promotional materials during events.
