METRO STARS HISTORY.

METROS HISTORY The nyc metro stars football club was founded in October 25 of 1998 by Edison calle and graduates from a public high school called WC bryant. The franchise became a member of the US youth soccer ENYYSA METRO KIDS,CDHA OF NEW YORK AND THE ECUADORIAN SPORT EVENTS, in queens first season in the league.The team started off under the management of Ecuadorian coach Edison calle . Our humble beginnings saw a youth men team compete in the metro kids soccer league.Over time,the club rose through the ranks,earning promotion to the 4th division for the first time in 2001.The team decide to take a break for economic problems.Over the last 10+ years,metro stars has registered over a 100 players,from a vast array of backgrounds and possessing a wide variety of skills.Our club comprises players with experience at many different levels,high school,college,private clubs,with players hailing from around the world MEXICO,EL SALVADOR,HONDURAS,COLOMBIA,PERU,UNITED STATES,BRAZIL ARGENTINA,CHILE AND ECUADOR.We epitomize the cultural melting pot that the game of soccer should represent. Who I'd like to meet:We have succeeded in attracting such a diverse collective of players due to the high level of competition fostered at training and during league play.The bonds we have formed as teammates over the years extended beyond the field ,as we are not only united in competition ,but in friendship.The metros are a family both on and off the field.In 2010 we decided to raise our organization to the next level, in part due to the drive of our core metros team members and in part due to the high demand for a highly structured and highly competitive soccer program.To that end we have formulated a 10 year plan.Dedication by club volunteers has kept the organization running over the past years.In order to enact our 10 year plan,and to succeed in taking this club to the next level,we require financial assistance beyond what we ca collect from our dedicated club membership. METRO STARS IN HIS SHORT CAREER ACHIEVED five TITLES OF LEAGUE TWO SECOND PLACES A THIRD AND FOURTH PLACE SINCE YEAR 1998 TO 2002.WHEN THE TEAM STOPPED PARTICIPATING IN NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS AND RETURN ON 2010 TO THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS.
